French Repeat

Privacy policy

Last updated: 8 October 2026

French Repeat (french.baghashvili.ge) is a small app for practising spoken French, run by Giorgi Baghashvili. This page explains what the app stores about you and why. Questions or requests: giorgibaghashvili@gmail.com.

Signing in with Google

You can practise without an account. If you sign in with Google, the app receives and stores your name, email address, Google account ID and profile picture to create your account and show who is signed in. It asks Google for nothing else, and never sees your Google password.

Your practice

When you repeat a sentence, the app stores the text the speech recognition heard, which words matched, your score, and which chapters you have finished. This is what saves your progress and unlocks the next chapters.

Your voice

Speech recognition and the voice that reads sentences aloud are provided by your browser. In Google Chrome, speech recognition is a Google service, so your recording is handled by Google under Google's privacy policy. French Repeat itself never receives or stores audio, only the recognised text.

Cookies

There are no analytics, advertising or tracking cookies, and no third-party scripts.

How long data is kept

Where data is stored and who sees it

Data is stored on a server in Frankfurt, Germany, hosted by DigitalOcean. It is not sold or shared with anyone, and is only used to run the app.

Your choices

You can sign out at any time. To get a copy of your data or have your account and practice history deleted, email giorgibaghashvili@gmail.com from the address you sign in with.

Children

Accounts are for people old enough to have their own Google account. The app is not aimed at young children.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top of this page will change too.
